These are but a few of many questions the hobbyist artist (adolescent or adult) have when considering making the transition to becoming a professional. This hands-on workshop session introduces participants to the fundamentals of illustration. Over a period of two days, become familiar with key areas within the marketplace, such as editorial, advertising, product design and publishing. Learn to translate ideas and narratives into images that communicate. We’ll cover basic techniques of using traditional pen and ink. Participants will collaboratively support one another as they work exploring new ideas while learning the necessary steps of taking a concept/prompt to final and will leave with a finished illustration.
